Outdoor Soccer - Spring

High River Minor Soccer's Outdoor Program is broken down into 2 different Divisions, House and Travel.     Our spring program runs from late April/Early May through to the end of June.

We play outdoor soccer in May and June, this means that weather can play a factor in our program.    We encourage teams to practice and play in all weather conditions except Hail and Lightning.

House League

Our house league practices one evening during the week and has one game on Saturday.    All Soccer is located on pitches located in High River and we play against other High River teams.

Soccer is available for players Age 3-17 (based on Dec 31 last year) in multiple age groups U5, U7, U9, U11, U13, and U15/17 and all teams are co-ed.

House Soccer is perfect for first time soccer players, or ones that just want to get out and get some exercise with a focus on fun.

Equipment

All Players are required to have outdoor runners and shin pads that are covered by soccer socks or pants.  Players will be provided a shirt and water bottle

Travel

Our travel team participates in a Foothills Soccer league called High Country.  We play against teams from Black Diamond/Turner Valley, Vulcan, Nanton, Red Deer lake, Strathmore and others.  Soccer is played 2-3 nights per week with 1/2 the games played in the other towns.  Except for playoffs, there are no Saturday games.

Age Groups are U9, U11, U13, and U15/17.  All teams are co-ed.

Travel is ideal for players who love soccer and want to have a more competitive level of play as more focus is placed on positions and skills.

Equipment

All Players are required to have outdoor runners (soccer cleats recommended) and shin pads.  Travel Players will be provided Shorts and Socks to keep and a numbered Jersey for games.   Shorts are mandatory regardless of weather.
